🚗For our example today we start our journey on the M11 motorway southbound ☕When we make this journey, we always stop at the M11 Birchanger Green services, so we can pop to the loo and if we still have time to kill have a drink and maybe a snack.

😎These services allow you to park very close to Stansted Airport for up to 2 hours for free. This gives you the opportunity to kill time before either the relevant flight lands or your passenger needs dropping off.
🚗Once it is time to leave the services we head to the Stansted Mid Stay Car Park.
🚗It is junction 8 on the M11 motorway to get to the services and to Stansted Airport.
🚛When entering the services, ensure you are not in the lorry lane, it is easy to do. Cars and other vehicles need the road just after the yellow bollards.
📱When we are collecting from Stansted, the plan is to keep an eye on the airline’s app and to leave for the airport at a leisurely pace once the relevant plane has landed.
😀Once the plane has landed, we make the short journey to Stansted Airports Mid Stay Car Park for some free parking.

👍Stansted’s Mid Stay Car Par allows for free parking for up to 60 minutes for drop off and pick up.
✈️If you need longer than 60 minutes, use your entry ticket to pay at the machine prior to exit

• Up to 24 hours £30.00
✈️In regard to the Mid Stay drop off and pick up, anyone who needs to go or come from the terminal will have to catch one of the free regular shuttle buses.
✈️If you want to be closer to the terminal and not mess about with shuttle buses, there is an Express Set Down Car Park, this has its uses if your passenger has a lot of luggage, but is obviously a lot more expensive.

🚗Once in the Mid Stay Car park you will be signposted towards the relevant section for free drop off and pick up.
🚗The signposts within the Mid Stay Car Park call it the FREE SET DOWN.
🚗In the free set-down location, you are able to leave your car unattended, for example, to help your passenger with their luggage.
🚗Once you are ready to exit the car park, if you are within 60 minutes you don’t have to present your ticket at the exit, ANPR will recognise your car. However, if you have exceeded the 60 minutes, there are pay machines to the right of the barriers.
