Usually, when we visit Walt Disney World we pick our car up at the airport. But on this trip we had 3 nights in WDW before heading on a cruise. So it seemed silly to pay for the hire car for that first week and also parking at the Disney Hotel and Cruise Terminal.

So for this trip, we did something different, we used Virgin Holidays arranged transportation from the airport to our Disney Hotel. Then we used Disney Cruise Line transportation to and from the Port Canaveral cruise terminal.

Then after a few days of being in our Disney World Dolphin Hotel, we would get our car.

The process of collecting the car was simple, the day before picking up our car we phoned the Disney Car Care Centre and organised to be picked up from the WDW Dolphin Hotel. This was a free service.

Then the next day the driver collected us and another passenger to collect our car.

One negative of this process is we didn’t get to choose our car as we would at the airport, but certainly for us, we had a higher category of car than we’d paid for so that was a nice bonus.
