What is Springfields?
Springfields is primarily an outlet shopping centre. But that is not all there is so much more to Springfields, so much so that you could easily spend a day there! I will explain more below!!
Where is Springfields?
Springfields sits on the outskirts on the Lincolnshire market town of Spalding, beside the River Welland.

What is there to do and see at Springfields?
Shopping
The main purpose most of us would visit Springfields is the Outlet priced shopping, with the choice of Brands being updated and increased all the time. Brands include:

- Crew Clothing
- Jack Wills
- Joules
- White Stuff
- Next
- Game

Hotel
There is a Travelodge built into the Springfields Outlet buildings. So you can enjoy lots of shopping, food and drink without venturing far if you don’t want to! Travelodge | Spalding hotel – Spalding hotels
Restaurants
There are a number of restaurants on site at Springfields all offering outdoor seating if it is a lovely day.
- Frankie and Benny’s
- The Kitchen restaurant – bar – café
- We would highly recommend The Kitchen Restaurant, we’ve enjoyed some lovely meals and service there in the past. The lasagne was lush!
- Springy’s – Springfields American Diner.
- So far, we’ve only had hot drinks from here, but it is certainly on our list to try one of their burgers or breakfasts, or waffles …… so many fab choices! Reading this menu has made we want to go for lunch now 😊. The prices look pretty good too.
Café’s
Whether you want to enjoy a cuppa and a snack inside or alfresco, there are is a choice of Café’s at Springfields.

Garden Centre
Onsite at Springfields, you will find a Blue Diamond Home and Garden Centre.
There is a Restaurant within the Garden Centre that does some fabulous breakfasts!
There are toilets within the Garden Centre, by the women’s clothing.

Gardens
I only discovered the Springfields Festival Gardens recently and wow it is a lovely space to wander and discover. Some of the gardens have been designed by the likes of Charlie Dimmock and Kim Wilde.

Childrens play area
Springfields Adventureland looks an amazing space for children to enjoy.
Adventure Land includes
- A JCB Young Drivers Zone
- JCB slide
- Scaffold themed climbing frame
- Sand play area
- Dino Golf
- And so much more!
You do have to pay to get into Adventureland, if you live relatively close the annual membership looks really good value if you think you might visit often.

Information Point
The Information Point is found near the front of the Outlets. As well as being able to offer you help and support during your visit, it offers visitor guides and leaflets.

Toilets
There are toilets within the Restaurants and the Garden Centre. You will also find toilets in the left had bottom corner of Festival Gardens and next to the Information Point near the front of the Outlets.
Walking distance from Spalding
Spalding Town Centre is a 30-minute walk from Springfields or a 4 minute drive.
Large car parks
Springfields has a number of car parks around the Outlet, with both standard and disabled parking. Motorbike parking is in the Garden Centre car park. There are currently 2 free to use electric charging points. The cost of parking is very reasonable, currently £1 for up to 2 hours and £2 for all day.
Water Taxi
You can take a trip down the River Welland from Springfields to Spalding Town Centre.
The leisurely 40-minute trip runs 7 days a week, usually between April and the end of September.
As I write this, the Water Taxi is closed due to COVID-19.
Events space
Springfields Events & Conference Centre is utilised for community use like blood donation and vaccinations throughout the year. It also hosts many event days. Some currently booked for 2021 are:
- 5th September – Toy Collectors Fair
- 19th September – Cupids Wedding Show
- 6th November – Model Railway Show
Plus, many other events. They are also able to host weddings.
